Established by Congress in 1965, the National Endowment for the Arts is the independent federal agency whose funding and support gives Americans the opportunity to participate in the arts, exercise their imaginations, and develop their creative capacities. Through partnerships with state arts agencies, local leaders, other federal agencies, and the philanthropic sector, the Arts Endowment supports arts learning, affirms and celebrates America’s rich and diverse cultural heritage, and extends its work to promote equal access to the arts in every community across America.

The Renée Fleming Foundation is committed to helping to build the future of music, health, and neuroscience research, as well as nurturing emerging artists, through targeted projects and support of recognized organizations doing this crucial work. Other projects by the Renée Fleming Foundation include a partnership with the Foundation for the NIH to develop a toolkit for standardizing music & health clinical research for brain disorders of aging. The Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

Berklee College of Music is the premier institute of contemporary music and the performing arts.
