Allegra Hein

I am the coordinator of a music performance program at Indianapolis's essential hospital, Eskenazi Health. As a board-certified music therapist and pianist, I work with local arts organizations and independent artists to curate a safe and effective live music program for patients, staff, and visitors. Additionally, I collaborate regularly with the clinical music therapist at the hospital to ensure we are providing complementary programming. My expertise in both music therapy and performance has led me to become interested in arts/music in health principles and various ways to implement this kind of programming in a hospital setting. Outside of my position at Eskenazi Health, I perform regularly as a collaborative pianist and engage often in music therapy consultation with various arts organizations in the Indianapolis area.
