Ann Marie Cushing has over 30 years’ experience in the healthcare field. She serves as a visionary architect, educator, fundraiser, and advocate for health reform initiatives. As a board member of Voice for Hope, she provides leadership and strategic vision focusing on the energy of the natural health constituency of the national health reform effort. In her current role, she advocates and consults for hospitals, clinics, and foundations, and assists with fundraising and education programs for health services. Ann Marie is a board member of the California Institute of Human Sciences. She has served as the co-chair and executive committee board of directors of the Open Center, and as a practitioner and former coordinator of the Sound and Music Institute at the Center, which is a holistic learning center based in New York City. She earned an M.G.A. from the University of Maryland. She is certified in Holistic Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, California Journal of Holistic Studies, and the New York Open Center. She holds certifications in Cranial Sacral Biodynamic, Shin Jitsu, Tai Chi, Qigong, and Yoga therapy. Ann Marie has traveled worldwide as a spokesperson for health and integrative medicine modalities.
Ann Marie is a certified light and sound therapist, practicing both therapies in mindfulness settings. She has been a program and health advisor for several national and international organizations, and is a speaker in the health, wellness, and scientific communities of integrative and holistic medicines. Ann Marie is the former president of The Pavilion, and a member of the Asia Pacific Spa and Wellness Coalition, Global Foundation of Integrative Medicine, New York Academy of Sciences, Bangkok Scientific, SpaChina, Sound Healing Association, and Alliance and Holistic Chamber of Commerce. She was featured in Steinway Magazine and SpaChina as a contributing writer. Ann Marie enjoys travel, photography, and is a film maker.
