Short biography and a description of your interest(s) in music and health:
Ashley serves as the executive director and founder Breathe Bravely - an innovative organization that strives to be a positive voice in the cystic fibrosis community by advocating, educating, and offering expertise through our one-of-a-kind sINgSPIRE programs which combats the effects of cystic fibrosis through the science, art, and practice of singing. Ashley is also the creator of the Look. Listen. Learn clinical approach which integrates vocology into the CF clinical care model.

Ashley is a professional vocalist living with cystic fibrosis from South Dakota. Through her own experience with CF and her expertise as a vocal instructor, she realizes just how the art of singing and individualized focus of the voice can significantly impact the progressive and systemic effects of cystic fibrosis. Fifteen years of experience paired with her postgraduate studies of the voice have helped to hone a vast and unique skillset focused on the importance of a personalized approach to vocal health within the CF community. Ashley is interested in furthering the dialogue and accepted interventions of music into the healthcare field - focusing on the complete human condition and the powerful place singing has on complete health.
