I am an Emeritus Professor of Nursing and Medicine (Cardiology) at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). I serve on the Board of a music non-profit called InConcert Sierra that produces classical music concerts in Grass Valley, CA. We have a program called "Music on Wheels" where we are providing free concerts featuring professional musicians in senior residences. We are also collaborating with Hospice of the Foothills to feature "Music at the Bedside" to those at end of life. I have been impressed by the response of frail elderly to experiencing live professional artists play their instruments for them. I'd love to participate in a study to quantify this. We are also collaborating with a nonprofit called VET TV that teaches veterans how to live stream concerts.
