Short biography and a description of your interest(s) in music and health:
I am a research psychologist, musician, and higher education leader in the Los Angeles area with a background in music therapy and a primary research interest in the use of music to improve mental and physical health. My research has focused on the use of music to alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Currently, I am the Vice-Chair of the Sound Wellness Initiative, a part of the Global Wellness Institute.
