Short biography and a description of your interest(s) in music and health:
I have been a student of sound for over twenty years both as a performer and a seeker of knowledge. I graduated from The University of Georgia with a degree in anthropology specializing in indigenous healing practices. As a certified sound healing practitioner and teacher for the internationally recognized Sound Healing Academy I have had the opportunity to work with many different people. This has deepened my understanding of sound and its power to heal and influence.

I have traveled the world experiencing different cultural ways of seeing. This has brought many beautiful sounds into my life and a deep respect for tradition. I bring various cultural techniques and practices such as pranayama, mantra chants, native prayer concepts, and mysticism as well as contemporary methods for reducing the effects of stress and supporting ones natural healing ability to each session. The power of sound as a healing modality continues to grow and prove itself as an effective path to health and harmony.

I work with crystal bowls, drums, Native American flutes, gongs, tuning forks, rattles, Himalayan singing bowls, idiophones, chordophones, RAV drum, handpan, didgeridoo, voice and other sound instruments from a variety of world cultures to facilitate healing through intention, vibration, sound and energy.

Science supports that all is vibration at the very foundations of existence. This has been known for thousands of years by spiritual communities such as Buddhists and appears in Vedic literature. Sound and Vibration crafted intentionally and compassionately can bring needed balance, nourishment and health.

It is my deep conviction to help bring harmony, balance, health and wellbeing to each individual and group I work with. By doing so I hope to help move the world towards a place of peace, equanimity and heart centered compassion.

Namaste.
