As a retired public school music teacher (32 years) and a present day accordionist performing with two professional accordion groups I have always felt that music is good for the health of one's mind and body.
I continue to study the accordion and my teacher who is older than me always attributes his health, happiness, and longevity to being involved in music for his entire life. His wife, a professional singer concurs.
I always feel great practicing, performing, listening to, and attending music activities. I firmly believe it keeps one young and healthy.
