Short biography and a description of your interest(s) in music and health: 
Gisela Flanigan (DMA in Music Performance, University of North Texas) serves as Executive Director for both the El Sistema-inspired MusicSpark and Sistema Global. Deeply committed to social change, she is also a Certified Colorado Change Leader, a member of the International Music Education Policy Group and has given presentations for Sphinx Connect, the College Music Society and the Music, Business, and Peace Summit at Indiana University. Gisela is a University of Miami and University of North Texas graduate, and has taught at Drake University, Grinnell College, the Barry Tuckwell Institute, and presently at Colorado Mesa University. She has reviewed grants for the NEA, and CCI. Gisela brings her comprehensive teaching background to the classroom in the Arts and Culture Management program. Sistema Global has a vision of connecting, encouraging, and inspiring Sistema teachers and leaders worldwide. We value collective impact for the development of the whole child as an ultimate matter of global public health. Sistema Global has two primary missions:
1. Connecting and inspiring El Sistema leaders and teachers around the world
2. Spreading the word about El Sistema collective impact
Collaboration Interests: 
Sistema Global supports the intersection of, and health and human development through community music training. The intersection of music, neuroscience, and health and human development is part of the next steps within its collective impact research and support .
