Guilnard Moufarrej

I am an ethnomusicologist specialized in music and cultures of the Middle East. My current research deals with music and wellbeing among displaced and war-traumatized youths. I have just returned from a year-long fieldwork in Germany where I was affiliated with the Institute of Music Research at the University of Würzburg. After a year-long interviews and encounters with refugees from Syria, Afghanistan, and Somalia both in camps and in urban places, I would love to collaborate with a psychologist and/or a music therapist to move forward with this project.
