I am a pediatric rheumatologist and coordinate care at UCLA for children with autoimmune encephalopathy and other neuroimmune disorders. I lecture in virology at USC and also teach a Harvard undergraduate psychology course, "Music and the Mind," on the evolutionary origins of musicality and the role of auditory processing in health and disease. I'm particularly interested in musicality in autism and other developmental delay. I am an old choral conductor and church musician, and was the founder of a college a cappella group, The Harvard Din&Tonics.
