Short biography and a description of your interest(s) in music and health: 
Jonathan Crane enlisted in the Army as a Bassist in 2009. His first duty station was with the 25th Infantry Division
Band. He deployed with the band in 2011 to Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn. In 2014, he graduated from Warrant Officer Candidate School and
became the commander of the United States Army Military Intelligence Corps Band until 2017. From 2017-2021, Chief Crane served as research analyst for the Army Music Analytics Team, centered at the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY. During
his assignment to West Point he established the West Point Music Research Center, which provides research and insight on the influence of music as a ubiquitous component of human experience. Currently, Chief Warrant Officer Three Jonathan Crane is a Commander, Conductor, and Researcher for U.S. Army Bands, stationed again at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. He has written several articles, presented at the International Association of Music and Medicine, and contributed a book chapter on the uses of music throughout the military to include its benefits on preventative health and rehabilitation. His life-long mission is to deliver and advocate for the use of music for holistic health in the intersection of military and civilian communities.
