Katherine Palmer

Katherine Palmer is the curator of education at the Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) in Phoenix, Arizona, which is the world's largest global instrument museum. She oversees the development and delivery ethnomusicological education content related to field trips, sequential educational programming (MIMkids), professional development for educators, volunteer training, and creative aging. MIM offers virtual and in-person sessions that combine gallery visits with music therapy sessions. As an institution, MIM is interested in the intersections of community music, museum education, and music therapy - and how all 3 can contribute to wellness in aging.
