Kelsey Nelson

Kelsey Nelson, MM, MT-BC is the Development Director for Music Speaks, LLC providing music therapy education while working with organizations to build music therapy programs nationwide. Kelsey obtained her NICU certification, has presented at national and international conferences, taught music therapy courses at the undergraduate level, and contributed to the Music Therapy Introduction to the Profession textbook. Kelsey’s clinical experience and research contributions have been focused in pain management, neural mechanism application to music therapy treatment, and self-care.

Interested in partnerships to apply research to the clinical setting as well as discuss clinical experiences to help inform research directions. Specifically exploring the role and impact of musical elements on the brain and body. Furthermore, looking to apply research to educational opportunities within music therapy.
