Short biography and a description of your interest(s) in music and health: 
I am a performing artist and arts/arts & health administrator. I direct our University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Institute for Arts in Medicine which is a partnership between UAB Visual and Performing Arts and UAB Medicine. Our mission to enhance healing and wellness for patients, families, staff, and communities we serve. We offer programs both in hospitals and with people in the community. Our services are provided by artists in residence, creative arts therapists, and volunteers. We began as a pilot project of UAB Visual and Performing Arts in 2013. My education background includes BM musical theatre (U Miami), MA arts administration (Goucher), MA arts in medicine (UF), and currently grad certificate in public health (UAB) and MA clinical mental health counseling (UAB).
Collaboration Interests: 
Interested in arts and creative arts therapies as modality for healing/wellness for people with mental health disorders, chronic illness, disability, and as a tool for healthy aging. I am also interested in the arts and social justice.
