Short biography and a description of your interest(s) in music and health:
I am a musician (vocalist and violinist) and currently a graduate student in Social Work at the University of Michigan, and my career goal is to become a music therapist. I have always had a deep passion for music and its therapeutic and educational aspects. Whether it is using music as a means of healing, promoting mental well-being, or enhancing the educational experience, music has a profound impact on individuals and communities. I have a deep interest in music education and therapy for neurotypical and neurodivergent children and adolescents.

Music Therapy: I am interested in understanding the effectiveness of music therapy in different contexts, including its impact on mental health, cognitive development, and emotional well-being. I want to learn how to advance the potential of music therapy to address specific challenges and conditions in both neurotypical and neurodiverse populations, and am excited by the contributions to develop music therapy interventions for individuals with cerebral palsy and other social, emotional, behavioral problems.

Music Education: I am fascinated by the role of music in education and its potential to enhance learning and creativity. I would love to explore how music can be integrated into educational programs and curricula to engage and inspire students.
