Short biography and a description of your interest(s) in music and health:
I am a translational health scientist and public health practitioner. I have been living in the UK for the past two years, completing an MSc in Translational Health Sciences from the University of Oxford. After I graduated, I was contracted with the NHS to complete a series of evaluations of their arts-in-health programs. For the bulk of my career however, I have worked in public health at the Indiana Department of Health where I collaborated community-level leaders to created initiatives aimed at preventing suicide and overdose deaths. I think arts-in-health is vital to addressing the issues our society is currently facing - I am especially eager to see how the field can be integrated or coordinated with current public health efforts. I am currently looking for my next position in the DC area.
Collaboration Interests:
Public health, community-based initiatives, cross-sector funding
