Short biography and a description of your interest(s) in music and health:
Prior to going to graduate school, where I had a double major of psychology and sociology, music was my passion. I sang in choirs for 16 years. As a clinical psychologist, I did use some music therapy in my practice and found it very effective. I have been so pleased that the field of Music Therapy and Music-Based Interventions has developed and is providing the evidence from well-designed research of its effectiveness.
