Short biography and a description of your interest(s) in music and health:
I am a senior at UC Berkeley where I study Molecular & Cell Biology and Music. I have been playing the piano since I was four years old, and I also play the harpsichord and the organ for the University Baroque Ensemble at Berkeley. I am pre-med and very interested in music therapy, both as a performer and a researcher. At Berkeley, I am a volunteer member of the Volunteer Health Interpreters Organization and help the LEP patients in the Bay Area communicate with the doctors. I am also a researcher in a biochemistry lab and study mitophagy in the context of Friedreich's Ataxia. Outside of school, I am involved in a COPD virtual research internship.
