Short biography and a description of your interest(s) in music and health:
I will be a medical student at Tokyo Medical and Dental University in Japan starting April 2023. I double-majored in Molecular & Cell Biology and Music at UC Berkeley and studied iron metabolism at the Zoncu Lab. My current scientific interest lies in cancer metabolism. I have also been a classical pianist since the age of 4 and am very interested in music therapy, both as a performer and a researcher. I would love to explore applications of music in medicine and ways to bridge the two fields.
