Short biography and a description of your interest(s) in music and health:
I am starting as a faculty at UCSF in January. With a computer science background, my research has traditionally been at the intersection of technology and psychiatry. However, I have always had a passion for creating music - and I was a hair's breadth from pursuing music theory/technology/production in college. I am interested in exploring technology that can facilitate music improvisation to improve mental health outcomes.
