Short biography and a description of your interest(s) in music and health:
I am a medical anthropologist and advanced practice psychiatric nurse with an interest in developing and testing music based interventions for use as complementary treatment of mental health conditions. My current work uses a digital receptive listening program to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depressed mood among cancer patients, and to control PTSD symptoms among active duty military servicemembers.
