Short biography and a description of your interest(s) in music and health: 
Rachel Allen is a Certified Music Practitioner with 20 years experience of providing therapeutic music at the bedside to patients and families in hospice and palliative care. Rachel also utilizes music as empowerment in her work with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence integrating music into trauma sensitive yoga. Rachel leads experiences in community singing in her community as a means to co-create social cohesion. She recently received a Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Grant to fund that initiative. Rachel is a multi-instrumentalist utilizing voice, Celtic Harp, guitar, drums and hand held percussion to engage and empower people.
