Raluca Matei

I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in Performing Arts and Health, at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, where I conducts research on musicians’ health and wellbeing from a real-world, interdisciplinary, and critical perspective. I am also a psychologist, and was trained as a professional classical violinist. My research interests are: the health and wellbeing of performing artists; cross-arts collaborations (between musicians and dancers) for a more intense communication of the musical message; the use the arts in science communication.
