Short biography and a description of your interest(s) in music and health:
Musician, songwriter, engineer and artist experiencing chronic pain. I presented at an MDPI conference on the independent pilot research project I designed and led, focusing on chronic pain, with music targeting the descending pain modulatory system (DPMS) with isochronic tones overlaid on the music. The study showed pain scores reduced by 24%, but more importantly, pain medication dosage reduced by more than 50%. Interested in collaboration to extend research to larger cohorts.
Collaboration Interests:
Interested in projects at the intersection of music and chronic pain, including music and brainwaves and the impact of composing music for chronic pain. Interested in expanding research for different populations, and using apps and software to be able to conduct research at scale.
