Short biography and a description of your interest(s) in music and health: 
I am an integrative health research and data specialist at University Hospitals Connor Whole Health with experience leading research studies investigating music therapy in the medical setting. As a music therapist at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center, I developed several interventions directed at improving pain management outcomes in adults with sickle cell disease (SCD) in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I served as PI and study coordinator for two consecutive research grants from the Kulas Foundation that funded five music therapy research studies in SCD. I have been continuously funded with external sources to develop, study, and implement music therapy interventions to improve health outcomes in this population. I am currently serving as a co-investigator for Effectiveness of Medical Music therapy Practice: Integrative health Research using the Electronic medical record (EMMPIRE) study.
