Short biography and a description of your interest(s) in music and health:
I am a board-certified music therapist with 20 years of clinical experience and over 15 years of experience in leadership. My clinical experience includes working with individuals who have neurologic injuries, disorders or diseases (traumatic brain injury and stroke survivors and those living with Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, or dementia). I also have clinical experience with hospice work and with individuals who have a developmental or intellectual disability or identify as Neurodiverse. I have started new programs in in-patient and out-patient hospital settings as well as various home and community-based settings. I have an undergraduate and master's degree in music therapy and completed my Ph.D. in Clinical Sciences at the University of Colorado Anschutz campus. My research interests are varied and include mixed methods research, implementation science, and any type of research that could be applied in real-world settings. I am also certified as a UX researcher and proficient in various types of user research, including usability.
