Short biography and a description of your interest(s) in music and health: 
Stephanie Miller, CMP, VAHTP, is a Certified Music Practitioner specializing in Vibroacoustic Harp Therapy (VAHT) and Drum Circle Facilitation. Since 2009, she has provided live therapeutic music services and facilitated drum circles through her business, Music for Life of Pittsburgh, LLC. Stephanie has offered therapeutic music at numerous hospitals within the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and the VA Pittsburgh Health System.

In 2020, Stephanie began serving as a Module 4 instructor for the Music for Healing and Transition Program (MHTP). In 2023, she received grant funding to offer Vibroacoustic Harp Therapy for veterans at the H. John Heinz III VA Medical Center. She has been providing drum circles for elementary students at Eden Hall in the Pine Richland School District since 2023.

Collaboration Interests: 
Stephanie’s research interests include exploring the benefits of live therapeutic music for patients, caregivers, and healthcare staff, as well as investigating the effects of Vibroacoustic Harp Therapy with veterans and other populations. Stephanie is also interested in researching the effects of drum circle participation on health with both children and adults.
