Short biography and a description of your interest(s) in music and health:
I am a classical singer, amateur but quite serious. I trained as a singer starting at age 55, after 40 years as a cellist ended with hand injuries. In my professional life, I was in immunologist working for the US Food and Drug Administration doing both research and regulatory review. I recently retired. I attended the "Music as Medicine" workshop and there was encouragement for attendees to sign up on this network. I don't know if I will be relevant, but if one of you needed a volunteer singer for some virtual test, perhaps I could do it. Music has always been essential to my well-being throughout my life, and I always spent time studying and practicing music despite my busy scientific career and family life. In addition, my decades of experience as an FDA regulatory reviewer might be useful to someone in this network.
