Writing a Strong Research Plan” was the second session in the “Music and Health Grant Writing Series”, sponsored by the Sound Health Network in collaboration with the NEA and NIH. This session went into more depth about the research plan section of a grant application. We again invited the music and health research community to join us to a) become familiar with components of a Research Plan for a NIH music and health grant, b) understand the basic structure of a Specific Aims page, c) learn about the importance of significance, innovation, and conceptual models, and d) acquire in-depth knowledge about the Research Design, Methods, and Data Analysis Plan sections. There was a 90-minute presentation from Sound Health Network leaders and NIH and NEA staff, followed by a 30-minute Q&A panel.
